Forensically Aware Recovery: Our divers may be asked to locate and recover underwater objects. In some cases, or on request, it may be important that “evidence of conviction” or “evidence” must be retained. We approach the search for “evidence” in a targeted and structured manner. All findings and working methods are recorded by means of video footage. A report will also be drawn up of the work performed.

We will, if requested by authorities, ensure that “evidence” is recovered in a professional, forensically aware manner and is safely transferred to the relevant authorities.

Based on our own experiences, we are aware of the specific attention that is required to keep possible traces intact for further (forensic) investigation by third parties. After all, it may concern a crime, in which the forensic traces can be of decisive importance.

We can responsibly package all detected goods underwater to prevent damage to and contamination of the goods. We use, among other things, plastic containers / cases and various bags.

During our work, we can use protective equipment such as nitryl gloves to keep traces (DACTY/DNA) intact, for further (forensic) investigation.

If, during our work, we find (a) mortal remains(s), we can store and transfer them in a safe, responsible and forensically aware manner. We can also carry out water and/or soil (sediment) sampling and packaging.
